Pronouncation of German names in the USA in Germany
I am always amused when woke German people start to pronounce all those German names in the American-English way to show off that they are "men of the world" - or "women of the world".
I do not think that any person of the English-speaking world in his right mind would ever pronunce good old English family names in the German way just because that person happens to live in Germany. For example call a certain Mr. Wallace this way: "vahl-ah-tse".
